Carmen is part of a series of embroidery pieces, prints and original works displayed in locations around East London. All pieces are created using the technique of freehand machine embroidery, allowing the artist to 'draw' with the sewing machine. All pieces are made using material remnants and (where possible) finished in upcycled frames. There are no copies, each artwork is completely unique.

The work shows a distorted face with gleaming eyes, large hoop earrings and crown like headwear. They smirk mischeiviously back at the viewer.
