The Mountain is a large scale embroidery piece, made in 2017. All pieces are created using the technique of freehand machine embroidery, allowing the artist to 'draw' with the sewing machine. All pieces are made using material remnants and (where possible) finished in upcycled frames. There are no copies, each artwork is completely unique.

The work shows a tribe of bodies at the foot of a mountain range. The people do not look up at the long climb that is before them. Displayed above are the spirits of those who came before them, laughing and smiling and scowling at the people. In the centre two hands hold a fragile globe on a string, the string is wound around the hand as if it could drop it at any moment.
